TEAM Report XV
9/11/05
*Kicks the computer* Stupid SW… Oh, yeah, you needn’t worry about Ura. She’s back to her normal self, at least in Unresting. *Sighs* I knew my victory was too good to be true. I’m Warui, by the way. Oh, but please, please call me Serene. *Juts out her chin dutifully* I suppose it’s my task to now give a report. It has felt like a long time since the last one—I was hardly alive then.
Well, today is a Sunday, going on one o’clock—what’s that supposed to mean anyway? O’clock? But that’s hardly of significance. THEY are coming soon, and they’re going to be sleeping over. I really hope Beka stops spitting and picking her nose, but we can’t hope for miracles. I digress terribly. Let me introduce everyone.
Looking back through the previous…Chronicles of Nomékop, we can see constant strife, gang wars, and divisions. *Goes on proudly, ignoring Musashi and Jessie fighting behind her* But look at us now! We are an enlightened generation of peace and prosperity. *Looks back at the two fire sprites* Seriously. We may have some squabbles and may duel for practice, but we are all the Duong EM’s people. We have to support each other, especially when times are hard and energy is low. *Glares* That happens a lot now that Duong LC’s characters have been nonexistent for well over a year and Duong SW doesn’t show up any more. Stupid SW. Stupid Zagif. Stupid Guer'tal.
Anyway, we’re all TEAM—well, I’m not. People say I’m just an evil dark sprite with no feelings. *Cries* Well people are wrong, and I’ve proved them wrong over and over again. *Sniffs* The intolerance! They should learn to accept other ideas and philosophies (mainly mine). *Evil*
Oh, oh, something I must interject here—in the previous records—those things were all aside from a story. EM didn’t write stories back then. The previous records contained character’s reactions to a certain fanfiction written by someone else. Before, oh, let me just show you! *Dresses up like Ash, complete with Ash-like voice* Wow, I can’t believe James murdered Jessie in Dead Squad: Hour of Ill! *Disguises as Jessie* He did what?! *As Ash* Yep, cut you in pieces with an axe. *As Jessie* *looks at James horrified* *As James* What?! I would never do that to Jessie! *As Ash* But you did. *As a different, darker James* You’re right. I don’t know why I put up with her for so long after all. *As Jessie and original James* *shocked look*
*Tosses off disguises* Heh, see. That was then. Now we have stories, and our lives basically coincide with them.
Now, as I said before, I’m Warui: dark and poison sprite, Master’s trusted servant and Zagif’s pet, leader of the dark sprite division, benevolent benefactor (when economic times are low), the final ‘Chosen One’, the Legendary Zapdos, Ura’s friend, and EM’s personal favorite. Ura, dear Ura; the second ‘Chosen One’ and Arcticuno Legendary is currently undergoing the most strenuous, most difficult test of all time. Sure, it’s nothing to survive a city full of zombies; completing Rocket training’s a breeze; wining the Toshinden Tournament is trivial compared to this one. In Unresting, she’s now dealing with real life situations and I tell you, I would not want to be in her shoes. Yet, despite these tremendous burdens, she remains a loving, sensitive character—even more so than she was before. Right across from Ura is Life’s Misery: my friend and student. She was Ura at one time, but I poisoned her and now she’s on my side. Thus far, she exists solely in Walking Into Ruin—the former Nekkyo RPG. Musashi: tough, cocky, seductive fire and dark sprite. As Misery said in the previous TEAM report, she’s a far cry from her original Team Rocket ‘Jessie.’ She was the first ‘Chosen One’ and Moltres represents her. She and Kojirou could never be together, much to the horror of rocketshippers, and now she is completely smitten by SW’s handsome anthro-tiger, Tago. Jessie: Musashi’s half sister who’s been searching the world for a friend she can relate to. In OOC context, Jessie’s my main chum, always dances with me, laughs like a maniac, and feels constant pressure to be more than the average little sibling looking for older sibling stereotype. She and Musashi compete often. And again, she’s a far cry from the original Jessie. Karen: she’s my double, well, truly, TS cloned me from her, so I’m her double. Karen, as everyone knows, was a cute, big-eyed hyper girl killed by Bebedora, but brought back to life as a much more mature person. She’s a devout TEAM member, and she’s cast her eyes in Kojirou’s direction now that LC’s Ho is gone. She’s a copy of Ura, a bio-engineered human with wings given her from Ho. Kojirou: yeah, he’s the cute water\psychic. He’s very mysterious around here and I think he’s in a love triangle with Karen and Ura. We need him to be more active in the goings on. Bashou: er, what can I say about him without giving anything away? Nope, better not go there. But he and another person are very, very close. And Robert is jealous. Satoshi, poor Satoshi, he’s the human boy who’s been with us forever. He needs to get active in a story, or he’s going to die straight away. He must be a hundred years old. Other than those people, Yukina sometimes shows up, as does YM, who is very reminiscent of the so-called “Muchashi.”
Now that I’ve gotten that done, um… *Checks the list* Well, speaking of characters I might as well name the two stories we have going currently. Walking into Ruin, which is nearly at an end, and Unresting, which has a long way to go. One is all fighting and tough stuff, the other is real life. One I’m winning in, the other I’m dying.
Man, writing reports is hard. I've not even gotten to economics. *Looks* Yeah…we don’t really have those different social statuses anymore. The Serfdom is gone. It’s just us and them. TEAM and everyone else. We don’t really go out to war against the foreigners anymore. In fact, we’ve started harvesting them for energy—although too many of these guys is a bad thing (then they're always stomping around screaming and disturbing people). You know, finding the means to move around, talk, and be visual has always been a problem (although not so much now, because we have drawings of ourselves that helps EM remember exactly what we look like and try to interpret it in different poses and styles and this and that), and having foreigners help. We just take their bodies or motions and project ourselves into them, coating them with our skin and clothes and hair and so forth. No, it's not as disgusting as it sounds. We may be using them and not even realize it. Not only that, they also teach us some moves. The combat of today is greatly improved from what it used to be.
Our current favorite visitors comprise Dead or Alive, Samurai Warriors, Blood Will Tell, Resident Evil (especially 4), Champions of Norrath, and even Ellen and Spyro. We use anything we can get our hands on, even movies. Resident Evil 2: Apocalypse is still popular for its fighting moves, and we often pull out the Tripods from War of the Worlds when things get messy. Yes, the zombies frequent here, along with the Nine-tailed Fox, the Fox people, the Dragon Brood, Scourge, Yudai, Behemoth, Sylvea—or whatever her name was—and the occasional bobble head nurse, or abstract daddy. Blood Will Tell was very close to becoming accepted and integrated into our home…but things turned out otherwise. Dororo’s still my buddy.
Yeah, it’s crowded at Hotel Huxteble and housing is limited.
Other than sucking the life from countless invaders, sugar, music, and sweet smells are popular things. Everyone loves to dance, especially to our new theme songs. It really unites TEAM. Really. And it has been recently discovered that sugar is an excellent source of energy. And there’s nothing like the smell of freshly washed clothes, you know.
Satoshi’s all paranoid. He
says we should go to war and eliminate all these foreign influences. I
think he’s just all messed up after seeing what happened to the
people of yesteryear whom he grew up with. Me, I think there’s a
slim chance of us dying—and if we do (It'll be SW's fault), so what?
Why mope around? Let’s just dance and party and eat chocolate! II
Kanji!

Though at first unnerving and painful, these days of punishment and separation
have taught us much. Never have we been more destitute and alone, and
yet, nothing can compare with this happiness that grips us and carries
us to heights unknown. Though all others have fled, and we doubt we’ll
ever see them again, we’ve learned to support each other. Slowly,
but surely, we are learning to deal with things ourselves, to take up
different roles, and create new ones necessary for our survival. The kinks
are being worked out, and the unexplained deaths of the other duongs’
character being planned.
I myself rejoice and eagerly look forward to the return of my Master. With him as my commander, then I’d be able to think aright and move without fear. I have learned that it is much easier to support someone as their fan than as the general-in-chief. The others, my friends, they’ve vowed to contribute to my cause and raise up my master again, that I might be myself. Oh, how my heart rejoices tonight, and how can words express this feeling! I just hope that all shall be as promised, that these will not be the days of death, but of triumph over those that would have us in derision.
Ura, Musashi, Karen, Jessie, Yukina,
Robert, Estella, Kojirou, Satoshi, Bashou…We are all TEAM, we join
together and laugh at those that would destroy us. Armed with our music,
our warriors, our pocket monsters, we fight whatever doubts may arise,
match them blow for blow. We’ll overcome.
