History: Melissa Speyer (whether that is her real name or not, we do not know) is a rather complicated person, living as though she had two lives. Though she may often appear a typical secretary person, from the outfit, to the messy hair, to the broad rimmed-bifocals, she’s really a highly talented Asian psychic sprite working for the Gerard Foundation. That and she’s a noteworthy scientist working for the multibillion-dollar Trust Corporation.

It is uncertain but it is believed this strange duality started way back in college. Part of her was dedicated to danger and adventure, fighting and not always for the right. Yet she did want to enlarge her knowledge on how things work and what they are made of, hoping that it may do her some good and provide a stable environment should the ‘secret agent’ stuff get out of hand. So she went to college, not as Shang Meifuya from Hong Kong, but as Melissa Speyer from Princeton. She walked in the first day, totally made over, and stayed that way.

After attaining her desired degree, she set out and applied to join the Trust Corporation. That is where she met her, the dark sprite. Ordinarily, darks and psychics despise one another, but this dark sprite was outgoing and friendly; she made sure Melissa got her job and several top quality labs for her work. Truly impressed at how this little sprite seemed to get anything she wanted, eventually the question came around. So what is that mysterious Himitsu Kessha I’ve heard about? What? Whom have I heard it from, oh, here, and there. Why are you looking so upset? Really? Indeed? This is most amazing news.

Melissa learned more about the Trust Corp. and the Himitsu Kessha from this mysterious little girl and made her choice.

Melissa is not necessarily evil in the highest sense, but she is proud and somewhat self-orientated. She is one of the Himitsu Kessha’s best, and she still remains friends with the dark sprite who introduced her to it all. She works for Trust as well, keeping up the guise of a busy, somewhat incompetent biologist.

“I grabbed my keys hurriedly holding them with my teeth as I fixed the wig and snatched up my report and cup of coffee. Sure, Serene had contacted me early but I had the habit of leaving at the last moment—it made me feel more like Melissa would, that was her character. Just as I turned down the hall of my small apartment I accidentally dropped my keys into the coffee and consequently the papers slipped from my hands, scattering on the floor. Cursing frustratedly, I walked over to the sink, dumping the coffee and picking out the keys.

Putting them in my pocket this time, I knelt to pick up the papers. It just so happened to land so that the person I was going to meet landed on top. That fire sprite Musashi. I studied her for a moment, couldn’t help feeling she looked familiar. Like the girl in in the papers who was kidnapped over ten years ago...
